Training in Rio

This week sees the departure of our gold medal-winning-heavy-weight-purple-belt Elliot (well for a month!). Elliot is heading off on a BJJ pilgrimage to the birthplace of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Rio De Janeiro.

Many practitioners choose to go on on this journey for lots of reasons including: improving your game, meeting new people, entering a tournament in brazil or just simply exploring the home country of BJJ.

I managed to get one last roll this morning and we chatted about the long journey he has ahead and how many gigs he should pack!

Not wanting to let him go without a goodbye we also had a great turnout on Tuesday night with many team mates looking to put Elliot through his paces before he heads south!
